A darkness falls upon the land...
A major tragedy has befallen my harddrive in recent days. A virus was unleashed upon my desktop and raised havoc with alot of crap before I got it under control. I then had to reinstall windows, run a recovery program, and reinstall every program I have ever installed from day one.
As a result of this I have lost all the graphics and text that I had been working on for my super-duper secret project. I was working on a Korean War scenario and was storing the files on my desktop for accesability. The funny thing is that it only erased the files on my desktop and did not touch any thing else. It is a major relief that I did not lose everything.
I am now going to go cry myself to sleep and try to decide if I want to start all over or just figure **** it! I guess if there is an audience out there maybe I will soldier on and do every thing over again. By Thursday I had some 20 to 30 original units and some original icons and terrains + resources. With CivIII looming on the horizon would anybody be interested in seeing me finish this.

I would for one, be very interested in seeing this. I don't think there has been a good Korean War scenario if not one at all out there and Jimmy's graphics were great. Also I sent the ones I had to you.

Please finish it Jimmy. The Korean War has been sadly neglected when it comes to Civilization 2 scenarios.
As a matter of interest, were you planning to begin the scenario with the North Korean attack on the South (a situation that would be very reminiscent of the beginning of Red Front) or were you only planning to begin it with the U.N. forces arrival and counter-attack?

Lifesaver
Thanks to Anzac I was able to get back some of the first units I drew for the scenario. I have also been somewhat successful in my attempts to retreive lost units by going through all my temp files. Hopefully I will be able to find more as I delve deeper.
I do have one question though: MGE or TOT?

Personally I don't mind either way, but probably everyone here will tell you FW! They don't like Tot and MGE becuase it is restrictive as to who can play it. But then again, I don't mind

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Civilisation scenario designers seem to have the most unstable computers in the world, and Apolyton and Civfanatics need to set up a fund to buy replacement computers for everyone
(For example: I'm the only person I know whose computer has ever caught fire!)

Outdated sons a bi*****
FW? I don't even have FW. I don't think that I would be able to find a copy of it either. What is it, like four years old? I don't know if I will be able to do it in FW, all I have is MGE and TOT.

I would like to say thanks to Case for sending me the units I made him make for me.
Also I tried to find a copy of FW today and I couldn't find it or MGE. Good thing I already have MGE.

Happy 21st Birthday Jimmy!
*inserts standard taunt of America's dumb drinking laws [I've been legally drinking since I was 18, etc, etc]*
BTW, do Americans have to drink a yard glass of beer as part of their 2st birthday celebrations?

Either FW or MGE. I'd like to play this scenario but installing a scenario for ToT and getting the bugs worked outta it is a nightmare that no sane man should attempt to forge their wat through.
EDIT: So I can't frellin spell, shoot me.

It is not my birthday yet here. We do not have any traditions though, unless you count going on a bender for four days straight a tradition. I plan on starting tomorrow
I think I will go with MGE just because I have it and know more about it.

My 2 cents worth for ToT. And happy birthday! BTW, It'll have to be four feet, after all it's American beer!
BTW, why is American beer like making love near the ocean?

It doesn't really matter what the legal age is. Everyone drinks here and I could already get served in any bar in town. If I go somewhere else, I always have my fake ID.
