invalid page fault
If any computer guru out there (or someone who had the same problem) can tell me what this means or how to fix this, I... well, I'd be able to play Alpha Centauri for hours on end without interruption.

TERRAN caused an invalid page fault in
module TERRAN.EXE at 0167:005cb2ab.

Spacecow:

The Smac/x readme.txt has a bundle of fixes that we all have tried at one time or another to rid ourselves of the terran.exe crashes. Not sure if I recall anyone having a page fault displayed, but it's worth trying the "force old voxel" language insert into the .ini file - that seems to have cured most terran.exe errors.

Disable your wheelmouse, anti-virus program, and other little doodads sitting in your tray. SMAC is a very finicky program. Personally, I figured out which file is the wheelmouse and disable it by Ctr-Alt-Del (Task Manager) instead of permenantly disabling it.
