'...and economic sanctions in place against the U.N. Peacekeepers since 2152 will be dropped this year. Planetary Council Leader Jones, when asked to comment, had this to say: 'Uhh, we're not quite sure why we imposed these sanctions - but we're pretty sure it was for a good reason'. In other news today, Chiron's richest tycoon, Nwabudike Morgan has unveiled his latest plans for global economic domination - the Mc'Mindworms fast-food franchise...'

Be advised: the Spartans have a sizeable fleet, including many transports (at least one of which is loaded with impact infantry).

Hey Governor, how about a tax rebate since I'm carrying the military load here while the Palace builds dozens of crawlers and exotic SPs?
(the commanders in the field need some useful details - like exactly where these boatloads of badboys are - soundbites don't do it for them)

A busy year at Free Drone Central concluded the Governer. A military communique had been sent to the Conciousness regarding the aggressive Spartan Colonel, Political scandal in the capital as news broke out that the Drones were responsible for framing the Spartans for the stealing of Centauri Empathy from the University,an envoy was sent to the U.N. to discuss improved relations & a unit commander got inebriated after lifting too many jars at Den of Thieves and somehow 'forgot where he'd parked his tank'
Morgan Industries releases it's marketing data into the public domain, 'Planet's happiest citizens', 2163:
1. The Free Drones
2. The Peacekeepers
3. The Cybernetic Conciousness
4. The Spartans
5. The Mariners
6. The Hive
7. The University
Looks like our workers have their little utopia, for now.

Spartan impact infantry are now parked just outside one of our bases. They have been temporarily pacified with a "gift" of several technologies, but our hope is slim that they will leave us in peace. I guess they like us less than you, Prime Function...

2164 to Mariners.
Well I'm back to a hot war with the Chairman again. Between the Yangster and Santi's ship taking potshots at me from the passage between my two landmasses, I could use some help if anyone has some military assets nearby.
One of Santi's other ships on my NW seems to have killed itself against one of my arties, although those stupid messages make it hard to really tell for sure. One of the others is now shooting at my units instead of the terraforming; I suppose I like that better, but it makes me reluctant to move my formers off newly completed projects .

Well, we kicked Yang's butt the H out of our territory - got lots of promotions and will have a nice parade later . Of course, he switched his production back to nearly all military, but c'est la vie, c'est la guerre.
Santi's ships are still a PIA and never miss my terraforming (unless they choose to attack a unit). Grrrrrrr. Some coordinates are:
- (Hardened) Impact Skimship Mk2 ((4)-3-4) @ (3,59)
- (Hardened) Sea Colony Pod (0-1-4) @ (84,48)
- (Veteran) Impact Skimship Mk2 ((4)-3-4) @ (85,47)
The first one is the one that is particularly bugging me in the Sea of Awareness; the other one has only limited targets and I have an artie nearby to hopefully chase it away with.
In a few turns, I plan to take Fleet Base (if that is the name of the one just outside of Wepsilon Weir) if it hasn't been reinforced significantly - perhaps even if it has .

2167 to Mariners.
Fleet base has been taken; could possibly use short term defensive help from (unknown Spartan forces in area?) if anyone is in the vicinity.
The (Veteran) Impact Skimship Mk2 ((4)-3-4) @ (84,48) was apparently killed attacking my artie) - the neighboring University ship is unaccounted for; either killed attacking the Spartan ship or moved away.
The (Hardened) Impact Skimship Mk2 ((4)-3-4) @ (2,60) Remains in place and continues to be a PIA; anyone, please feel free to go for it, I am still several turns away from any possible action against it.
Yang has been content to lick his wounds (and build more military units) these last few turns.

2168 to Mariners.
CEO BlackJack finished off the last (known) Spartan warship.
JPJ, could you please refresh the intel on the remaining Spartan base off my coast? I plan to invade it when I can redeploy my amphib attack forces over there and get some kind of amphib garrison unit together. Thanks.

Sea Outpost is garrisoned with a 4-1-1 Impact Infantry and a transport. It is supporting two other transports with leaves it with no minerals to finish off the 3 Pulse Sentinels (4/18 minerals) it has in production. In short - it's a sitting duck.
The Spartan Navy has been battered down to it's last remaining warship a (4)-3p-4 impact foil.
It still has 5 transports (3 of which are docked, the other 2 are are probably laden with one or two impact infantry.
It does not appear to be re-building it's fleet.

Spartans also had a (wounded) SAM unity chopper in Sea Outpost - still do, but no longer the infantry.

Very wounded (90%) Spartan 4-3-4 (I think) Warship at (85,31) - according to the Guv's data, that would be the last one. Sea Outpost has been assimilated. Yang keeps sending troops to say HiBye.

I've forwarded the turn to the Yahoo address in the meantime.

2172 to Cap'n BJ of the Mariners.
Sorry for reloads - 2 crashes (both when I was almost finished the turn) . No need to worry about it working in my favor - I lost 2 really good units to Yang (with good odds in my favor too) and all he was serious wounds. The other two times I killed at least one of his and lost either 1 or none myself.
I think that both Yang and Santi are now without warships (assuming JPJ's intel was accurate); I finished off Santi and Yang fell on his sword attacking my ships.
