Evil and Good CIVs
In a way, it would be nice if the AI would be programmed in a way that if it gets really desperate, it could become a rogue civilization, meaning that they would use drastic messures (even atrocities) to get what it wants.

Either that, or it would be nice if each civilization could have either a good leader or an evil leader, just so that you never know what to expect from them in each game.

What do you think?

Hmmm......AI that can differentiate between "good" and "evil"? nice idea, but not one thats incorporated.

There is a way to get a game that leaders actually have distinct personalities, but I won't bring that up

well I like your idea about Rogue states because that do happen, civilizations getting desperate and all, but usually the civilization would just submit rather than get destroy. As for the good and evil, well I don't think you can really place a good or evil on any political leader, everyone is gray because of circumstances at the time. Looking back one could argue that Stalin was Evil because of the thousands if not millions of people who died under his rule. But one could also argue that he was good because of his Plans to modernize Soviet Union so they could defeat the Germans in WW II. I mean it was the Soviets who won WWII. And even Hitler himself have his good points. Yes he done a lot of atrocities toward the Jews and other people, and he can be consider as Evil. However, if you look at the Germans of the time and their living condition, it raised so much from the devestation of the inter-war period. It's all a matter of perspective.

I consider every civilization to be evil and barbaric except mine

It's an ok idea, but how do you define "desperate"? 5 cities left? 1? If they're in a war and never have been able to capture one of your cities, while losing several of theirs?

If you have been playing peacefully but somehow ended up in a war with a civ that's no match for you, they should try to negotiate peace, or even "surrender" (=becoming your ally). And should things go bad for you later in the game ( yeah right ) perhaps they could revolt.

However, if you attacked, betrayed, and provoked war with them then they should become evil "rogue states" imo

see balck and white. its line between good and evil for the ai is blurred as anyhting and the ai for enemy gods is really dumb and cheats while the cretures ai is classy. it cant do good and evil. samc factions of good and evil work better

Yes, good and evil leaders. England could have Elizabeth I as it's good leader And Margaret Thatcher as it's evil leader

Unfortunately, that won't be possible for a few months at least.

Wasn't Elizabeth I in Blackadder 2 just the best?
