When will you start using the editor?
And do not DARE tell me this is an irrelevant question.

Do you believe it is easy to think of a relevant question?

I'll probably play 4 or 5 games before really looking into the editor, so that should be a few months or so.

What does it mean to be "too dump"? Spending to much time on the toilet to use the editor?

Either the editor is an extremely beloved feature -80% say they will use it within weeks-, or the people too lazy to make scenarios are also too lazy to answer my question.

I have never used an editor in a CIV game, except for 'cheating' and screwing around.

Maybe I should use editors more? Contribute something back to the gaming community I suppose..

this is an irrelevent question but i'll answer anyway. firstly, since there's no MP yet, it'll be months before i get the game. i expect to play a couple games first so it'll be about another month before i play around with the editor

Nah, I don´t think there is a duty to edit the game. Also the way to edit CivII was too cumbersome for me, but with CivIII I expect that to be different. If the editor is easy to use, then I see it as two-games-in-one: Think of yourself being the GM in a roleplaying game -scenario creation is similar to that.

And if you are a scenario player, there is the added incentive that you can actually try to build the scenario you always wanted to play.

And if there is an event engine getting it to create exactly the effect you are after can be an interesting kind of puzzle. So there are lots of things that could be motivating to learn how to make a modpack/scenario.

I'll try to start using it as soon as possible -- I really like making maps, but if the game is too good I'll have to wait until I start to get bored. It depends on what maps ship with the game. The Civ 2 Euro and Mediterranean maps were lame, so that forced me to make my own. We'll have to see.

I guess the others are that lazy they even don't want to spend any energy on this vote

I will certainly start the editor after my first game to see how it is, but I don't think I'll ever use the editor much...

I will use the editor almost immediately - but only to change one of the race names and put in some different city names...

First I'd play the game of course, do you dare to tell me that I should manage to wait until I'd tested the editor?

After that I might check out what can be done with the editor, and then play some more. When I've had enough playing for one night I'd try to do something with the editor the following night.

I'll probably get to work with the editor after a game or two. I don't really like the leader animations or the leaders they picked, so I'll probably change all of that around unless I find myself pleasantly surprised.

This is basicly the same for me, however I don't care if Civ 3 has an editor or not, I'd much rather have multiplayer and an editor for the expansion.

Editing is sooooooooo much more important, its what kept civ2 alive, MP did not...
