Yes. I downloaded and installed the latest indeo drivers as well as download the latest Microsoft compatibility patch for Windows 2000. It works fine now.

I'm also having trouble running CIV II on a brand new Dell running Windows 2000.
Where did you go get the patches? Do you happen to know the URL for the patch page?

Alright first you need the Compatability patch from Microsoft, which you can get by using the Windows Update feature. The Indeo drivers can be found at www.ligos.com

I never had problems under win2k. Maybe it has to do with the fact that i installed Civ2 ToT also on my hd - it seems to me that ToT automatically installs better (win2k compatible) video drivers....

I have Windows Millenium which is the more consumer-oriented system than Windows 2000 which I hear is more for businesses and networking. I installed Civ2 fine without problems.
