And Cheers to you!
--glug, glug, glug, glug, glug--
Had to get that drink in before the thread is closed, like the Civ drinking game thread. And just when it was starting to get good.
Oh well, too many impressionable youngsters on the forum, I suppose.
Well, cheers again!

It will probably lead to a closing. But since I am here:
What do you mean drink AND play CIV? You mean those of us that drink, and also happen to like playing Civilization? Or do you mean those who drink while also playing CIV?
Be more specific....
[Boy does it get slow around here on Friday evenings, and Monday mornings. Or am I just that big a loser that I am here at those two times?]

I am curious to see what playing Civ3 for 48 hours straight and drinking as you go does to you. Will you make it to bed or will you fall asleep as you slide under the desk? What will your dreams be like?
Please don't try this in your bed with a laptop. You will not make it!

Civ and SMAC are MUCH more fun, as most things are, when drunk. I tend to take things much more personally and play very aggressively. Viva la keystone light!

Why are you complaining about spam threads when in another spam thread you posted 3 replies out of a total of 5?

D'oh!
Well I couldn't think of any other word than "complaining" although I meant it... softer
And drunk gaming is like smoking while being drunk: 100x better than sober

I dont drink while playing Civ. Not alchoholisa anyway.
mmmm caffiene.
My drink of choice for playing SMAC into the early hours would have to be Mountain Dew.

how the hell do you play civ innebriated? wouldn't that be hard, considering the strategy that has to be thought out? it'd be like playing chess drunk.

I love playing Civ drunk! you must follow this formula:
games = relaxation
beer = relaxation
therefore:
beer = game
So, since:
beer = game
civ = game
then:
beer = civ
hmmm....i guess that means that i would get drunk playing civ...well, then lets try this formula:
game = relaxation X 1
beer = relaxation X 1
game + beer = relaxation X 2
thats better
thats the drinking and civ formula! its the best way to relax!

I am not going to mention bleep1 or bleep2, so...
Just wanted to say THANKS for the laughs you have created!
When I am playing Civ2 or CtP, I am generally too focused playing to drink. A cup of water or coffee just gets neglected, and I am way too busy to smoke my pipe (tobacco).
I micromanage a bit, play on large (or larger) maps, and my games (SP, not bleep2) can take weeks or months of play. Probably 20-30 hours per week.
I wouldn't want to play while inebriated, 'cause what if I messed up real bad?
OTH, after this thread, perhaps I'll give it a try!

Yeah I can see it now after a twelve:
Abe Lincoln: Our words are backed with nuclear weapons.
Drunk: Ohhh yeah you &*(#% (puts fist through monitor, waking wife)
Wife: Thats it, no more Civ or beer for you ever.

Ah, but:
Wine = Culture
Culture = Civ
Civ = Wine
Mine's a good South American Merlot, and a glass for the gang.
But wait, IIRC neither wine nor coffee figure as luxuries. So in SP I'll be drinking alone... and there is no
Sorry, nearly mentioned the youknowwhat. And you know they're closing the threads that mention MP
