alba keeps crashing

I am running "Alba de America" I have TOT, play FW scenarios converted using Scotto utility. I am playing Alba as Spanish. on my first turn when i have press next turn, the Portugese move, and then I get an "illegal operation" error, and Civ2 crashes.

Any ideas?

PS - Mark - does this really belong in a "creation" forum?

Angelo told me long time ago that he was unable to convert Alba into the ToT format. I do not think he ever found out why.
