Can we still Zoom in and out?
As everyone here knows, in Civ II the Z and X keys zoom the main window view in and out, with Shift+Z setting the 'normal' zoom level, Ctrl+Z setting maximum zoom in, and so on.
Every screenshot I have seen so far has been much more zoomed in than Civ II's Shift+Z - in fact, so zoomed in that two city radii barely fit in the window.
Now, it is clear that a lot of time has been spent on terrain graphics and so on, and they are very pretty, but presumably we will still be able to zoom in and out to switch between strategic and tactical perspectives? Would be nice to see a screenshot tha confirms this...

Well SMAC still had this, but judging from several of the screen shots of CivIII, I think we will still be able to zoom.
-edit-
![yeah right!](http://static.apolyton.net/forums/images/smilies/hm.gif) Now that I have went and reviewed some of the screenshots out there, I can't honestly say that there is zoom- or at least any clear examples of it in the published screens.
I will keep looking though.

Go to this thread and click on page two. The pictures you will find, are screenshots I took from the 'Making of Civ3 Video', show proof that there will be zoom in and zoom out capabilities.

I wonder if you can put a 'show territory' option on, so you can zoom out and view the territories of known civs as big blocks of colour ( like the minimkap but more....... macro.

Hmm, thanx TechWins, but I am not entirely convinced by those screens at your linked thread- they look like they were being video taped, and the video camera was just close (zoomed) to the monitor. The reason I say this is because, if you look closely at the 'zoomed' in pics, you can kinda see the pixel graininess of the monitor.
