				Info about german release

In the new issue of the German magazine PCACTION 11/2001 there is a statement by Michael Wetzel, Infogrames German:
Because we have problems with the translation there will be no german version until march. We've decided to produce a limited version of the US-version in a high-qualited box with 3-D effects with a lift-up lid (Klappdeckel), which is selled for a price under 100 DM. A later exchange into a german version is not possible, because of the high producing cost for the special edition.

Man... that's tough! So... does that mean you'll still be able to buy the U.S. version there?

Did he also say in which language the manual would be? I have no problems with the american edition, but I hate it when manual and game are in different languages, and since english games are often sold with translated manuals, I fear this will be the case with Civ3, too.Do you know anything?

				Question

The really important question is when the us version is released in germany/switzerland/austria. Because if it's Nov. 16th, then you better order it from the US or the UK.
On Amazon.co.uk i'll pay about 70 DEM, shipping to switzerland & handling included. Thats really cheap!

 Greetings,

 Rince

Ecthelion, I think I agree with you. I can only imagine what Civ is like in German. They're probably having problems and delays with the translation because they can't stop laughing...
Don't worry. I would make the same lame jokes if they were translating it into my language...

Hmm. AltaVista makes a poor job of that; I especially wonder about a "fishing rod Saxonia"...

Now we receive the Limited edition for fewer cash than the fishing rod Saxonia, and that only because they do not get the cheap translation on the series

Me it the English/American version is to be anyway rather played, when ne miserably translated Germans, although the messages were partly kultig with CIV or CIV 2

I strike forwards that we a CIV3 buy, so that we can make: play
