I think there's a good chance they'll make more, just because of the demand. I preordered mine anyway....

What for do you need LE anyway? Do you really need "how was civ3 made"document? Or do you pay extra for tech tree?

I pre-ordered the LE, so I'll answer that.
I have waited for this game for years. I begun my affair with Civ in 1991 and it is like an old friend... OK, whatever. This is going to be a great game, and possibly the last Sid Civ. I would pay $50 for the SE, so why not fork the extra $10 for the LE. It is special. The box, tech-tree, extra videos.
And one last thing. It will become a collector's item in a few years. The SE will not.
I have never bought an LE or CE (Collector's Edition) or anything like that, but I'll do it in this case, gladly!

personally, for my favorite game of all time, i'm willing to pay 10 measily bucks. Plus, as Earthling7 said, the LE will become a collectors item possibly, becoming worht much more than it was orginally

How can a game you've never played be your favorite game of all time? Dont assume to much and dont be quick to judgement. You never know till you play the game how good it will be, for all we know Civ3 could end up worse then C:CTP and CTP2(doubtful, but people should expect the unexpected).

first) i was talking about the series in general.
second) i, unlike many, liked ctp and ctp2
third) I doubt, with 99.99% accuracy, that the game will be bad - look at all this cool information we have heard about

I preordered it and I'll probably get a regular edition too. Somehow the stores around here always get games in before my preorder arrives.
