Probably not but...Is there any feature that upgrades out moded units to the next level? Like those old phalanxes you have hanging around. I totally agree that calvary should not be upgraded to armour, and catapults to cannons but leg troop auto upgrades would be reasonable and realistic. I miss Leonardo's factories in the CTP series, and would be nice to have to some degree in civ 3.
Yep, Leo's Workshop is not the gamebreaker it used to be ... Always had to get that wonder. Now, it's not a Miracle From Above anymore, just a moneysaver.
*thinking about the times I was beaten to the wonder*
Leo's workshop wasn't too bad if you did the following: let an AI civ build it. Helps give that AI civ a nice boost. Guess its better now that it is ballanced though. Wonder if the editor will allow you to crank it back up to 100%.

The biggest problem was the waste of time and resources (not to mention all the micromanagement) for quickly building 50 musketeers to replace my archers, legions and phalanx, and later on 100 riflemen to replace the muskeeters, and later on 150 mech infs to replace the riflemen ...
