Don't those city names seem odd?

Great, Gramphos!

Looks like the Babylonians were really good in that game! But, am I remembering wrong, or is the wonders built a bit late compared to Civ2?

Ninny-va and El Leapy *could* be alternative transliterations of the cities formerly known as Nineveh and Ellipi, but I have not seen them before...

Or maybe Firaxis was joking around with the names...

I think that's true.

Ninny-va - Nineveh
El Leapy - Ellipi

BTW, the Great Library looks like a 20th century
American styled city library. Has Firaxis screwed up
with the wonder graphics?

C'mon guys. Of course Firaxis is toying with names here. Barrylon and El Leapy are not alternative transliterations of Babylon and Elippi (of course it is what they started from, but the new names are clearly a joke. Cheer up )

yes, i SERIOUSLY doubt those are the default names, whoever was playing that game renamed the cities to be "funny" i guess.
