Yeah, but which is worse...
A) Hearing reviews about the game by people who have and are playing it, then waiting another week and half more and actually playing it yourself?
B) Just waiting without hearing new info? Maybe playing a different game or getting ahead on work so people will notice you slacking less when you actually get the game?
I'm not sure yet where I fit in, I want to say (B) but I'm almost a junkie, I quickly fall back to (A) as I need my fix for new info, especially as the date of actually getting the box in my hands is tantalizingly close.

I want Roger Waters to comment on the use of City Walls in Civ3...
Then I want Ian Gillan to comment on the Knights...
Just a thought... ?
In case of Spamometers going on alert... I'm just making the point that we don't need reviews. We need the GAME

The game will come in time. I just want the manual in the meantime to amuse myself.

Be more optimistic. It's just a week, and after that you'll all play the game, no matter what happens now. I'm personally now working harder than ever to forget Civ 3. And I do also play some civ 1, to get the feeling back .

No it's not! It's probably 3 weeks! And after we were led to believe it'd be the same as the US! I can't think of any more sentences, but I need to use more "!"'s !

I've booked myself in at the clinic on the 15th to have amnesia induced and 'buy Civ 3' tattooed on my left hand and my address on my right. I want that genuine rush of discovery when I begin to play

Grumbold!
I'm not too sure I want to learn anymore. I already know too much!
...but, then again, I can't restrain myself from coming here and learning more!

1) Your link is broken. If you don't know how to post a link, just write the address without using the feature.
2) What's the point of linking to gonegold when the article you are referring to is Gamespot's?
3) You could have provided a direct link to either the gold guide or gamespot's article.
4) The Gamespot article is old and was not just updated today. There's nothing wrong with pointing it out, but don't say it was updated.
I'm just writing so others don't go on the mad several link wild goose chase I went on.

Oops.....
Sorry about that broken link. First time using that feature. My apologies. When I read the article this morning I could have sworn I saw today's date on it.
Once again sorry folks, I was in a rush to post the link because of being at work.

No demo, no outside beta-testing and no reviews with only a week to go?
We need an investigate Friaxis HQ espionage option here. Or an Apolyton review. Overall I'm becoming glad of the delay so I can cancel if the thing turns out to be a dud.

has anyone preordered yet? I preordered from from eb games, so I could also get the game risk for free (actually it is not so free considering at other sites/stores, CIV3 goes for 5 dollars less than at ebgames). We all know its gone "gold", and I guess it ships on the 30th to store shelves...I'm just wondering, when the **** will I have CIV3 in my hands!!!
