I think I remember when I was still playing the SMAC demo (a LONG time ago), the University had +2 SUPPORT.

Maybe I've missed something, but the last time I played the University, I had +2 research and -2 probe, nothing mentioned about support

I said DEMO, not the full game. You can also find several other features NOT implemented in the full game while browsing thorugh the text-files, like "The Global Energy Theory" and "polyadhesives".
