CHEATING IN CIV!!!!
I have found a way to cheat... which does not display the cheat bar!!!
Save the game as a scenario and when the window opens to actually save it, save is as a *.sav instead of *.scn! Then load, changes are there and you can play with a clean reputation!

Martin Martian - you of all people! I would think you wouldn't have to cheat.
Don't let the Brits see this or they will use it as proof that Simeone took a dive to get Beckham red carded.

Hodad - long time no see - great idea - next time I want to wallow in self delusion I'll try it
Sten - Not that I follow International Paint Drying (unlike SG2), but you don't think we need an excuse to blame the rest of the world for the clay feet of national heroes, do you

Why cheat? In games I do use the cheat menu, I "Play as Barbarian" and don't give an amoeba's pseudopod about the score.

Amazingly enough, there is a legitimate use for that (if it works). A continuing game has a player who must leave. They need to rid the world of that player's civ (it's a tourney game) to avoid an AI running loose.
If I understand this correctly, I (as a non-player, the tourney manager) could get the file, go into cheat, kill the civ, and restore it to non-cheat status for the regular players...
Is this for real?

Once again,
I FIGURED THAT CHEAT OUT!
you can also open a scenario, but write *.sav in the text box where you type the scenario's filename, and open a save file. You can change the civ you are playing and the difficulty level.
