we have founded another base, which will double our production capacity. our unity rover has discovered some much-needed energy credits in an abandoned supply pod. the spore launcher has been studied and eliminated. it is too dangerous to let such creatures roam about in cyborg territory when much of the planet and the behavior of its native inhabitants remains unknown to us. this will change soon.

the consciousness is content.

had explorer alice beta-7 been anything but a cyborg, she would have screamed and pounded the ground in frustration. she had been trying to get to the same damned supply pod for close to four years. being a cyborg, however, she simply kept plowing along through the fungus. she would get there eventually. it was only logical.

citizens report an unknown phenomenon at the bases. apparently, and for no explainable reason, our bases are fluctuating between colors and architechual styles. the changes are causing mass confusion. however, we expect our citizens to respond calmly and logically to whatever threats may arise, be they perceived or real.

the conciousness is bewildered.

BH:

It's a well documented 'feature' of scenario-built PBEMs. The faction you play, in order (say 4th out of seven) will assume the graphics of faction # 4 in your .ini file.

So if the last game you played had, say, the Hive in slot 4, you'll be the hive this turn. If next turn you've just played a game that has the Pirates in slot 4, that'll be your color and graphics

We've all learned to live with it, but it can be a tad confusing when, say, Deirdre pops into your commlink and is actually Marr, or Morgan, or whomsoewver - keeps you on your toes

dear everybody in ASPK, ASPK2 & MABB:

the day i've been fearing has come to pass - my home computer finally stopped working altogether.

i can no longer "trick" it into starting windows, which is what i had been doing. it looks like either the motherboard needs to be replaced, or we just need to get a new one. the bottom line is that i can't play anymore until it's fixed or replaced. i can't install games at work.

i know this sucks, and i can't believe it happened. i'm incredibly frustrated about it - i can't even pay my bills at home anymore. i hope you guys aren't too pissed at me. i know i haven't been real on-the-ball as far as getting turns out 15 minutes after they were sent to me, but i was getting them out and having a pretty good time with it. thanks for being patient with me, and thanks for having me in the games.

i'm really sorry about this, and i hope to be able to get involved in some games whenever i have a computer again, if this doesn't completely destroy my reputation (that's the worst part - the first time i ever get in any multi-player games, my computer dies. nice). it might not be for a long time. i realize i'll have to be replaced in the games i'm in. please let me know if there's anything i can do to help. my e-mail address is kazzmaj@aol.com if anyone needs to get in touch.
