Germany is silent, for now, eagerly awaiting the French offensive at Artois and the British landing at Gallipoli while consolidating our gains elsewhere.

I would like to take this oppurtunity to offer the French leadership to anyone. It is not that I have anything better to do, I am just bored with it and do not enjoy going bankrupt if I mount an offense or I lose a few units. Everytime I build something that will help bring in money, the game sells it because I lose three guys. I will keep playing my turn until someone else agrees to take over. They will probably fair better than me anyways.

Following the sacking of the top echelon of generals and war minister's, the Tsar announced the filling of all related posts, and offered assurances to the Russian people that new strategies and tactics shall prevail over our enemies in Austria and Germany.

Philadelphia Inquirer
First Army Launches Counterattack, Nashville Retaken
Under the command of the intrepid and daring General George Armstrong Custer, American forces have launched a limited counterattack and retaken the city of Nashville from the Confederates. Thousands of liberated negroes lined the streets to welcome the return of First Army's brave fighting men. With the encirclement broken, American forces have reinforced the liberated areas of Alabama and Missippi. To the east, Cavalry raids out of Richmond have destroyed a series of vital Rebel railway lines.
Pacific Fleet Bears Down on the Philippines
The Pacific Fleet, accompanied by transports laden with battle-hardened US Marines fresh from their victories in the liberation of the Hawaiian Islands, is now bearing down on the Philippines, standing ready to push the last Anglo-Japanese presence from the Pacific altogether. The ships are now holding off of the coast in preparation for what has ominously been called Operation Tornado. Elements of the Pacific Squadron of the German High Seas Fleet are sailing south from Kiaochow Bay to assist in the attack. In other news, patrolling navy destroyers have sunk a Confederate destroyer and a Confederate submersible off of the coast of the Hawaiian Islands. With each passing day, the Pacific Ocean becomes more and more a German and American lake.

You....Klingon bastards,...you...killed...my son
I guess I just felt that I'd played to recently for it to be my turn already! Anyway, Mobile was heroically retaken by superwonderful Confederate forces. Yay. Maybe it's just me, but I think perhaps the US's production power would prove victorious in a prolonged ***-for-tat war....
EDIT: Oh excuse me, oh supreme naughty-language-editing deity, "t!t-for-tat"

Houston Chronicle
The war continues to drag on, Confederate forces are consolidating their gains made last month, and skirmishing with federal forces. Also, some wins at sea, some losses at sea.
In other news...
The race for the Presidency of the Confederacy is picking up steam, as ever-unpopular President Wilson's hand-picked Whig successor Gabriel Semmes struggles against challenger Rad-Lib Doroteo Arango. At this point the results of the race cannot be seen, which we are sure is much to the disappointment of President Wilson.

Out of curiosity....
have you had any luck getting someone to play France, Jimmy? Also, have you gotten anything into position for our long-ago discussed planning?

The New York Times
Canadians Smashed
Troops of the US 5th Army have defeated a minor Canadian offencive in New Brunswick. Despite the ease of the victory, the Army General Staff is taking the Canadian threat seriously, and reinforcements have been sent to the Canadian border. In addition the US Navy's Great Lakes Squadron has moved to its forward bases.
Army takes to the Air!
The US Army has comissioned it's first aviation unit. The 1st Scouting Wing will be used to patrol the front line with Canada.
Below: aircraft of the 1st Scouting Wing are formally accepted by the US Army
Pacific Railroad re-opened
Following recent military and industrial victories, the Pacific Railroad has been reopened. The reopening of the railroad has allowed President Roosevelt to make his first visit to California since the start of the Morman uprising. The president's return home was delayed due to congestion on the railroad caused by troop movements.
