I suggest that you would read Thukydides' book
The war between Sparta and Athens
(hopefully that's the right English name for it).

Hm, I've meant rather some contemporary syntesis.
Tukydides was involved in Athenai side. And in the first stadiumof the conflict if I remember correctly...
Afterall I've meant web links.
Mars, it is topic about Alexander's period...

But Thuklydides' work is really not biased. Anyway, almost every "hard fact" we have from the wars has been taken from him.

Thukidides (gosh kids, you massacred the poor mans name ) is the only reliable source about the peloponesian war we've got.

He tried to produce a rather "scientific" history and what he usually does is describing facts (you could call him a reporter of a sort - an idea that has much to do with the fact that he lived the events he describes).

He is fairly unbiased (and he is an exeption to the rule "winner writes the history" - he fought for the side that lost) and is considered a valuable source.

After all, for producing a scenario you would need the city/states that took part, the leaders and the placing - and he gives all that in full detail.

Read Thukidides, you'll find what you need for your scenario

Have you taken Attic Greek? Would you know? It'd only be spelled with a y if you're transliterating it into Latin, then English. But if you did that you'd also spell it with a c and not a k. So there. And wheres the e^ta where you need it?

Nope, the original title isn't The Peloponnesian War.
The Greeks didn't have any specific name for
that war. It has been invented later.
Thukydides simply called the war,
The war between Sparta and Athens
(well, of course in Greek, not English ).

And don't try to say no, because I have it in
my bookshelf.
