trouble
can someone help me with my scenarios and fantastic worlds cd's. I reformatted my HD and installed civ2 but cannot install the 2 cd's above. They worked ok before, but will not setup now. 1 cd could be bad, but not both as they are never used

I suspect that the HDD you reformatted was not the System drive - or alternatively that you reinstalled the system from a back-up rather than from a clean OS disc.
The reason - it sounds to me as if the Registry 'knows' that CiC & FW are installed and is 'corrcctly' preventing their re-installation.

It would help if you said what actually happened rather than, 'it won't work'. Does it give any messages?
If it is the registry then there are application that will remove erroneous entries which should then allow you to install.

Must be Smash. There have been several "I'm in deep, PC-doo-doo" threads lately! This is sort of the way I feel driving against the general flow of traffic to and from work everyday: I look over at the poor souls stuck in traffic going no where and I'm thankfull that I take the road less traveled by! (no offense to the "poor souls! )

Oh, you mean that road that will only take you to about five percent of the places that we can get to?

Yeah, but don't forget we get to where we're going 100% of the time. Unlike that other road, which, apparently, leads to crashes 95% of the time.
