BTC Day on Friday (GMT)
The BTC Day is getting closer...
The activity day will be on Friday (GMT).
The more detailed schedule and program guide
will be published on Thursday (GMT).
BTC Day volunteers are needed!
I would need some help with the planning
of the events and also with preparation.
So just let me know by PM, e-mail or
reply to this thread.
But until further I can tell you that the
BTC Day is an activity day with some goals
that should be achieved.

And even though civ3 LE is not a basic human right I fully support it, as I would've definitely bought the BT myself.
I also agree that Infogrames' good name and reputation will (and I hope )be damaged, due to this incomprehensible limitation. Infogrames treats the world outside USA as second-class citizens, first by releasing it weeks later, then by banning LE.
To reach all of those who agree with you but don't have the motivation to write a full letter to Infogrames themselves: wouldn't it be an option to make some kind of a 'standard letter' which one could just cut&paste?
Good luck on the campaign for LE-justice!

Amazon sent me the same email even though I already have it!

Well you know what would happen if bin laden or saddam got a hold of Civ3. They'd take over the world.
Typical bureaucratic stupidity.

They did the same to me, even if I had pre-ordered it and
paid it with a SWIFT cheque. When I asked for compensation
for time and banking charges, they just ignored my e-mail.
But wait for BTC Day. Then they will get something else to think
on...
Down with Amazon.com! We want the Civ III LE!

Heh! True, but the point was more like that others than
only US customers should be allowed to have their LEs.

Oh my goodness! That was a brilliant idea.
I'll write one later today for the BTC website.
Thanks for the proposal!

Actually Tingkai has understood the problem.
But I'll reveal the whole story on the BTC's website
later today, because I don't have enough time now.

You're a funny little man, Rasbelin.
I have no use for the biscuit box (or a tin of anjovis), but I'll support your cause for just this one time.
So long, and thanks for all the fish...

Actually i ordered it from "your people" in 31 October. It's called the Deviance Unlimited Edition and it seems at least for me it was a free hard civers edition.
Now i will just wait calmly and buy the L.E. IF it comes to my country. You see i am not gonna spend a week average salary of my country just because of delivery and tax at custumer service. That if it would anyway be sold threw mail to my country.
IF it doesn't come i will have to get a way to send at least half the price of the regular edition to Firaxis.
About that stuff talking of 3rd world country : If i live in a 3rd world country than you live in a 4rd world country. You have middle age stuff like death penalty, spend at least two times more % of national defense in army althought GNP per capita is at least 3 times more, we are poor but give free unlimited healph care to everyone and so on. And you see my country is not any state of art in politics and society.
But anyway you must be a kid to come saying what you said.
FOOT NOTE- Don't wanna offende anyone but this pissed me off. I like american people, i have many american friends,i have already been to america, i have friends that work in america before i was born. Althought i don't like many things in america or of america as a whole. And also some that i love: FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY... but that´s not everything.

I would cancel my Amazon order, but I didn't order LE and I was informed that they had already sent Civ III for me. If I would return it, I had to pay for shipping costs.
First and last time that I order from Amazon.com, although they didn't hurt ME at all...
Actually it hasn't got much to do with your problems, just because it COSTS MORE!!!

Jusbaummer, if you have already been sent the
game, then my simple advice is that just keep the game.
Don't return.
BTW, it's now cheaper to fetch Civ III at a local
store in Finland (chepest prices: 232 FIM and 255 FIM).

My latest e-mail to Infogrames (actually fourth today):
Hi!
I'm writing to you on the behalf of the Biscuit Tin Coalition,
that wants a worldwide release of Civ III LE.
We don't see the current treatment of non US customers
as fair, because many devoted Civilization series fans
has now been left without their long waited Civ III LE.
And without any good reason! There's currently no BXA
restrictions on releasing a PC game in Europe or inside
the EU zone. Is this just idiotic fumbling of Infogrames?
As a Nasdaq listed company, you should know that every
single dollar that can be earned in these tough times
is important, but apparently you're company is so stupid
that it doesn't see its own best. How can your investors be
pleased with you? Huh!
I demand that Infogrames would release the Civ III LE worldwide,
and not just in the US. Perhaps not under the name Civ III
Limited Edition, but as Civ III Collector's Edition, but that's
also good enough for the BTC and all the other "civers"
that are keen on getting an opportunity to buy the special
edition. I hope that you could at least think on my suggestion and
for God's sake finally respond to our inquiries. I warn you
that we will not stop the flood of e-mail until the LE is
available to all of us, or at least a worldwide LE release
date has been announced.
Your reply is expected and demanded!
Only cowards don't dare to face their customers!
Regards,
Rasmus Anderssén, Finland,
campaign manager of the BTC

Has anyone else done anything today?
Am I the only active BTC activist or supporter?
BTW, I received 30 mins ago a message from Amazon.com.
Total bulls_hit! They alomst assumed in the message
that the returning of my SWIFT cheque would be "compensation"!
Looks like you'll have to ask for compensation, if you
want to have your own money back. But that doesn't still
solve the real compensation dilemma.

I'm in the campaign. Granted, it's cheaper to me to go to the nearest shop and just buy the unlimited edition, and I'd probably never have ordered LE from abroad anyway, but it's the principle.
Say, what happened to those BTC banners? I link to one, and the next day I just have a red X where the banner used to be.

I know. That's exactly why I won't order anything from internet any more. Second reason: I would probably have got it even before if I bought it at a shop. So why would I use internet for shopping? One time too much...

The biscuit tin Civ3 LE is being sold outside the US. I just bought it in Hong Kong. Paid US$40. Luckily I cancelled my order through Chips and Bits. Buying it from them would have cost me about US$65.
So if you live outside the US, don't dispair. The biscuit tin edition could be coming to your local store.

There's a notification on the Promote BTC page and
at BTC News on that. I had to remove them temporarily,
because they include an URL that doesn't excist anymore.
I suppose I'll try to make new ones JIT for BTC Day 2.
I appologise this inconvinience.

E-mailed Infogrames about this. Aside from that and promoting BTC, is there anything else I can do on this action day?
