How is the end-game replay?
How detailed is it? How does it compare to the Civ2 chopping block and the Civ1 replay?

Its very good. You can have the game go year by year automatically (which is at a nice, slow pace). You can go one turn at a time. Rewind. Stop. And, there is a toggle that lets you see pop-ups of city founding/capture and wonder events.
And, the Histograph is right there too during the replay.

By the way, the Replay at the end also constitutes the first "cheat" I've found - since if you save your game, and then say you want to retire, you can see the entire map, watch the AI found all his cities, see where the Wonders are, etc. And then you can load the game again.
But I guess anyone who played SMAC knows that.
