Disease Question

Can anyone tell me what happens when your
workers acquire a disease?

Do they? Including something like the Plague would be great. (xcuz my ignoranz - Europe no-civ-yet)

I've seen somewhere that they die. Also, I seem to remember that when you have some of your city pop assigned to work a jungle or flood plain square there's a chance that they too die. Likewise, fortifying a unit in jungle might kill it.

Yeah they start to die, normally contract disease by a city being too close to a jungle square... can remedy by clearing jungle.
