Great Leaders and sub Questions.
Hello All,

I just had a few questions.

I am currently in 1950's in my game as the Russians, and have had aboslutely no Great leaders as of yet. Why does it seem so hard to be able to attain these, if they play such an important part of the game.....

Also I seem to have found what I think is a bug regarding Subs:
I was moving a battleship into an empty square, and all of a sudden my battleship starts shooting at a Sub that was sitting undetected in that square! And to make matters worse it was an Allies sub! Needless to say it didnt make my ally happy.
The wierd thing is that it didnt tell me I was about to attack or anything, it just happened.

Im sure others have already mentioned this, but I played against more than 8 civs, and after a few of the ones I had know got killed, thier circles just stayed blank (pink if you click on them). They didnt get replace with the surviving civs (romans and Chinese), so I am never able to tell who these folks have treaties /trade with....is this normal?

But besides that Great Game, tons of fun

Great leaders aren't common. I only got one in around 7 or 8 hours of playing (many games that is). I think it all depends on how often you fight. In one game I was playing passively and didn't get a leader (restarted after a while for another reason). In my present game, where I'm very aggressive, I got one leader after about 60 battles or so.

In the Foreign Advisor screen, you have to shift-right click on a leader to select a different one. They will not automatically take the place of those eliminated.

That thing about the subs sucks. Now that is a bug.

Further to that Sub issue, even the AI is affected by it I think.

I was sitting watching the AI turn, and a French Ironclad was sailing along my coast when it all of a sudden hit a sub, and started attacking it....

It was an Iroquis sub, and the two nations at the time were at peace. It would have been strange had I not seen it happen to me before.

Next thing I see is a message that the Iroquis have declared war on the French.

I think personally that a ship should be able to hold the same square as another races Sub, or at least see it when its right adjacent to it. As it stands I think this aspect may be a bit broken.

Maybe this is the dreaded "Kursk Effect".
