Civ3 Suits Which Style Civ2 Player?

Haven't bought Civ3 yet, and am trying to figure out if I would like it. So, I'm wondering (from those who are playing it), which style of Civ2 play does it seem to be designed to reward? Builders, traders, SSC, ICS, warlords, tech-tree specialists?

And, BTW, what are the computer requirements? I haven't seen it in my couple of local stores yet.

Builders and traders.

ICS is more of a must now, but not crucial.

The kind that liked CTP, that's all there is to it. If you are a militant like I am, you will be TERRIBLY disappointed in this game. It really is just CTP without all the cool future tech units/improvements. I guess that's the only way it's better than CTP, you don't get to watch your 40/40/40 leviathan be destroyed by a lone musketeer. But it's pretty close.
