Unit Obsolescence?

Ahh, my first game and I'm liking it (aside from the little boxes I get under my mouse cursor when I swicth screen and a bit of sound stuttering.)

My question is this... Do these units ever go obsolete?

I mean its 1950 and Im building tanks and the damn warrior is still on the production list?

And gah, damn govenor, I dont want any more immortals, I have tanks now you fool.

thats a good idea stuff should become obsolete when you get newer stuff

I think its a bug. Warror went obsolite for me, then later it came back in the modern age... odd. Also long bow men are around for WAY too long... I can sort of understand em even being around in like equiv of 1850 times.... I mean guys armed with Reeally good bows would at leat hurt an army of men with rifled muskets, and the long bow men would be cheaper to maintain... but one repeating rufles come in, longbow men should be gone... yet they arent. Swordsmen are also around for too long. Nationalism or replaceable parts should get rid of them.
