Have people tried Clean Map?
I've noticed that a number of people have complained about the difficulty of finding resources/luxuries. Have you tried Clean Map (Shift+Ctrl+M)? It takes all of the terraforming and cities off the map, making finding resources much easier. Also, when the patch comes out, it will remove units as well...

Yes that's a good feature. I'm glad to hear it will not show units soon... the patch sounds like it will have a lot of improvements.
BTW thanks for your continued presence on these boards.

It's a nice feature that I use every time I'm hunting for resources. It would also be nice if strategic resource icons were enlarged when the "Clean Map" option was selected AND the map was zoomed out. That way, we can easily see where resources are located.
Knowing that you plan on letting it hide units, too, will you be able to implement features that let us hide selected units from the game map...like workers?
Here's the post concerning my worker woes...

Of course. Some of us actually look at the manual. I looked at all the hotkeys that were listed.

Resource Option?
All these great tools sure improve the game.
As far as resources I've noticed most of the resource posts be concerning the quantity of resources rather than trying to find them. Since resources are part of the world being generated (like temperature & humidity & worldage) what about a ResourceOption (Rare Average High)? Personally I like the resources the way the are (and love how they're grouped), but more options can't hurt.

Soren - For the patch can you make the same game remember your options? I like to play with the Map Grid on but each time I load up it resets it. It remembers the colour discs but not the map grid...
Cheers!
