I love this game.
On October 31, the only thing on my mind was Civ. I did not even realise that it was Halloween until my brothers told me they were going trick-or-treat-ing. When I got home from school, I found that my pre-order of Civ III on August 11th from Amazon.com had not even shipped yet. Enraged, I cancelled my order and sped 90 mph to my nearest Best Buy. When I got home, I installed the game.
I have not been online since.
Every waking hour that I have free is spent playing this game. I got online only briefly to check my mail--217 unread messages, excluding junk mail. And of course to write this post.
This game is everything I wanted and more. I love the new concepts balanced with old. I love the fact that my old stategies are worthless. I love this game to the core.
