City Switching Allegiance after falling
Just curious. Does anyone know how many garrison units, as a rule of thumb, are necessary to prevent the player from being deposed after conquering a city?
I just took a city right next to my enemy's capital and was waiting for things to settle down a bit before continuing on. Well, 5-6 turns after capture the resisting population deposed my army and went back to my enemy.
I don't have a problem with this and think it's a very cool addition to the game, but it was a size 3 city and I had 11 units garrisonned there!!! (6 cannons, 4 cavalry and a rifleman). I was intentionally keeping military presence high because Dan mentionned that the probability increases with proximity to the capital.
I would reaaaallly appreciate it if one of the advisors would please give a warning or a suggestion of what sort of garrison would be adequate!
