Are there airbases anymore?
I haven't heard any mention of airbases by Firaxis or in the forums. Also, when they were talking about the Rebase command for aircraft, they only mentioned cities and aircraft carriers. My copy hasn't shipped yet , so I don't know yet. Anyone who has Civ3 already, please tell me.

Shoot! Why did they have to get rid of airbases? Many scenario makers are going to be annoyed at this.

I don't know why they got rid of them. I think they were trying to balance out air power a little bit more in this game, especially since it is so much different from CivII.
