I was playing and all the sudden a city just next ot my capital was turned over to another civ. This civ was a long ways away! How could this happen? Kind of strange. The city was fine, had 3-4 unites was happy.

Its your culture rating. Your rating compared to the neighboring civ is probably not very high, so your people just found a better way of life.

Keep your culture up!

this was in the middle ages near the end, ANd it had cathedrals and all the other culture improvments. although maybe oyu are right, I was the persains, and I was doing so-so. I was behind un technology, but had same size empire as other coiv ewho took it over. THis game is just tought. I can't beilive other people are winning and kicking the AI's ass! they expand like crazy and their science is always so good.

oh'well..I haven't played the game today at all, sort of sick of it, but maybe i will like it tomarrow
