Big Resource Problem
Hey this is actually more of a question:
Stragegic resources are placed on certain tiles, like rubber is usually placed on jungle terrain. Now what happens if you haven't gotten the technology that allows you to see rubber on the map BUT you clear a jungle tile where rubber was located, what happens ? does the rubber disappear and reappear somewhere else on the map or ?

Logically you would lost that resource, as you cut down the trees before you know about it.

the resources are pre-placed at the start of the map, and you can tear down forests to your hearts content and resources wil still apear on that square, and stay, if you cut them down while you already know about them.

Yes, I can confirm that I've found rubber on grassland that used to be jungle a hundred turns ago. Apparently you don't have to fear losing the resource if you cut down the jungle.
