AI intelligence
I have heard some people say that the only thing the AI is good for is fighting wars, because it constantly just builds units, not city improvements. I beg to differ though. I was playing as the Greeks, on Chieftain (hey, I suck), and the Chinese were pissing me off. So I waged a small war with them, only managing to capture one city before it ended. Boy was I surprised to find that it was a fairly large city and it had more improvements then my capital. And I had almost all of the improvements built. It was a fantastic city, almost all of the terrain outside it was improved. The only downside was that since it had all the improvements, they had good culture, and the citizens resisted.

I just wanted to say this to prove that the AI is not always just building useless units, and focuses some on cities too.

When you invade a city you destroy all the buildings? And only get those buildings that you get for free with wonders...

And the AI does build improvements, just not immediately, only after it has enough cities it starts building other things than settlers.
