SITS, it looks like something is going on between our e-mails. The turns are showing in my "Sent Mail" folder as being sent out, but they aren't making it to you for some reason.
I will keep a closer eye out from now on. I guess I got spoiled from having hundreds of turns go through flawlessly. You gotta love these ISPs.

The vendetta was pronounced automatically when war broke out between the Drones and myself.
I landed on what I thought was an unsettled land only to find myself facing death very quickly and you took over an undefended base. I sent some probes over to my 'old' base to get infiltration information and they were destroyed. The only units I've attacked are the ones around my bases.

If you wish to scale back hostilities then I'm willing to do that. It will make the game last a bit longer. I am willing to sign a non-aggression pact for 10-20 turns agreed by all parties.

That's odd.  I knew you hadn't attacked me, so I thought that you either tried to frame me for a probe action and failed or were in collusion with one of the AI and declared vendetta for diplomatic reasons.
The rest of the mem refresh was already known to me. At the point of my takeover of your base, we were already in vendetta, at, what I though was your choice, so I wasn't pulling any punches. Water under the bridge.
I'll take you up on your truce. I don't want to seem unsportsmanlike and take advantage of you while your already fighting on another front. 20 turns from now, I may feel different.

All we are saying...is give peace a chance.
SITS, it seems as if the game events are conspiring to keep us in Vendetta, but I can assure you that I have taken no overt or covert actions to cause that. It has come about because of my relationship with one of the AI factions (gee, I'll bet you'll never guess which one  ).
I will stand by the Non-Aggression Act of 2210 in both letter and spirit.
