Capital with Courthouse?!
well, whenever a city with a courthouse or courtyard or whatever becomes the capital (by building a palace), the court stays there. that doesn't affect the economy. well, usually. we know that in a democracy a court as well as the palace in a ctiy make one content citizen happy. but what if you have both in them? are then 2 content citizen made happy?

Logically it would be the case, but I don't it is. I think only the palace comes into effect...but I'm not sure...

There seems to be a simple answer for the 2.42 version I'm using. You can't build a Courthouse in your capital ie if your city has a Palace there is no option available to build a Courthouse in your city improvements/units building menu.

tonic - read the post before answering! Andz83 said that a capital can have a courthouse when the palace is built there AFTER the court had been built!!
and the question was whether we have 2 happy citizens in it there, was it Andz83? I think so, and smash gave a quite good answer

I stand corrected.
If you read my other posts you'd find Smash's approach is mine too eg on his previous thread on Barbarian Oddity .
Edit: URL oddity!
