Help with setting time boundaries
I have created a scenario that is supposed to run from 1483 to about 1740-ish. I've tried numerous times to set the correct years and dates, but so far have failed no matter what I try. WHAT EXACT numbers do I have to enter in order to get
1.) half-year (six month) turns from 1483-1740?
2.) quarter-year (three month) turns for the same years?
I've read the manual and own all the guides, but they all seem to have this wrong. Any help would be appreciated. After this the scenario is almost finished.

set game year = 1.
All scenarios should start with game year = 1 regardless of the historical date; the game year is really the game turn and is what is referred to in the events file.
Then under scenario parameters
Half year turns
turn year increment = -6
starting year = 17791 for Jan 1483, 17796 for June 1483
(year * 12 plus/minus fudge factor)
maximum turns = 515 (257 years * 2 + 1)
Quarter Year turns
turn year increment = -3
starting year = 17794 for Jan 1483, 17796 for March
(year * 12 plus/minus fudge factor)
maximum turns = 1029 (257 years * 4 + 1)

Thank you so much, Gothmog. I'll try to apply these numbers to see if they work.

I had a problem setting up a scenario I'm working on: I set the dates and other parameters in the cheat menu, saved the game but next time I loaded it to continue the setup process they were gone... Ultimately, I had to save the scenario once AS A SCENARIO and then start it as a scenario, open the cheat mode and continue to work on it, from then on it retained my settings.

Yep, I learned the same lesson, dude. I'll continue this discussion in the other thread.
