How come no technology map in Civ 3 box??

There's one thing that I'm disappointed in for Civ 3 ............... There is no technology map in the box!

When I bought Civ 2, there was the full beautiful technology map that came with it!

I mean even AOE series has technology maps.

How come there is no map for this game? Is the reason because it would have increased the cost of the game? Well, at least they should have included a .pdf for it on the disc.

The LE came with a Tech Tree "Fold Out". From what I've seen on this board, that was not very impressive. Looks like Infogrames didn't put much into packaging the game.
