Boy, I must be a Baby;
I'm only 15 (!), don't drink, don't smoke, no drugs, hate discos&modern music...I AM a Baby!

Oh well, I'm a civ2 addict, once played from 7 P.M. to 7 A.M. (who can match THAT).

BTW, why does everybody wants to know that kind of stuff... are you all just a bunch of old geezers who got nothing to do (no offense) ;-)??????????????????
I feel like I've got no life, for I missed Civ2 so much in my holidays...
(BTW, Lord Grey, LARA CROFT IS A DIRTY *****!
And, btw, at least 4 of my classmates are fellow civ2 addicts)

So you've dug this one up from the dustbin..

I've recently went through the horrid experience of turning 30. Can't believe that I've wasted my twenties on playing Civ.

Let's ignore the fact that some of these figures are outdated.

Building on CyberShy's solid work but adding 6 years for Ming, using 45 years for Rah and 40 for mindseye we currently have a total of 1424 years as reported by 44 Apolytoners.

Average is approx 32 years and 4 months.

Up or down?

Ok - I'm 45 (but boy do I feel young )

Besides, who wants to spend 2 hours in rush-hour traffic, when you can be Xerxes and attempt to conquer the Peloponnese

Goes to show you that great historical/strategy games have no age barrier...

They can't be too outdated - the thread is less than a year old. At worst you can raise the average by 1 year for the pre-june entries.

anyway, this 30 year old settler (30.7) has restarted civing on holidays, and remembers a day when people were impressed that he could hold his own on diety *wonders when he gets to graduate to chieftan*

(First Post - One that motivated me I guess)

I have always felt guilty spending 5+ hours a week playing at 26! This post vindicates my conscience a bit. Thank you all.

I find it interesting that the average age of people that post in the civ forums is far higher than that of this site in general. I guess the OTF brings down the average

Yes, I bet we would find the average age of people who have been banned in the OTF to be slighly lower than 32.

ROTFLMAO... so true, so true!

But if you look at the age FAQ in the apolyton forum, you will see a much younger crowd. And I just find that interesting since most of us did come to this site because we are gamers. There really shouldn't be that much of a difference.

Sorry guys, only just seen this thread - must admit that the title stopped me from opening it ... Let's wreck the average - I'm 52 and SG2 is 51 - if my horrible daughter climbs on-board as she keeps threatening she will correct the ballance with her 14.

and yes - it is interesting that the average on this forum is so much (a factor 2?) higher than the overall as evidenced by the Age FAQ.

and going back about 30 posts - I resent the implication that I'm an adult just cos I'm old, gray and knackered doesn't stop me being a big kid.

Okey-dokey.

Adding two extra years (Mark and Ken) we now have a total of 1785 years and 54 aging souls.

Average is slightly over 33 years...

I'm new to this site (and feel like I'm new to the game when I read some of the amazing strategy tips) but have been playing for about 5 years. I'll be 30 in August...I'd rather play a game than hang out in bars like most of my friends. I figure I'll save $ in the long run...especially after my girlfriend moves out!!!!!
Nice to know I'm "about average".....
Always had my suspicions.
You guys are great.....glad to have found this site.

Hello!
Average up!
As of now (27. June, 23:13 o'clock ) I am 41 years, 5 months, 26 days, 17 hours and 3 minutes old.
That's easy, I was born on 01.01.1959 at 06:10 o'clock. Fidel Castro marched into Havanna at that day.
Bye, Dirk
