Whew, tempers are running a tad hot.
I don't know how I'm going to archive the HOTW2 discussion, even its aftermath is spilling over into half a dozen different threads in this forum, whew.
You all need to chill out, Prom is correct.
I'm hoping Drake, Deity and Capo can keep game things in the game, because it is really looking like things are spilling out into other affairs which is bad for the genre and bad for everyone personally. So guys, just chill out or I'll have to sepperate you.

BTW
Prom, when do you get to AU? I deffinately want to set up a DC Civers meet and greet. Heck we've got half of HOTW2 in you, Capo and I. Isn't Cavebear from MD? Hell its insane that Capo probably lives just a mile or two from me and we've never met. I bet we can find a few more out of the woodwork too. I hear the Aussies had a good get together, we should plan something like that too.

Well raz's work schedule is fine this week, so we'll be resuming this week. If we get in 4-5 hours as we did last session, we should be able to make some real progress. We might even finish this thing within a few sessions. After all, the Sioux will be so far ahead, you'll both probably want to quit
( Am I iniciting? )
Honestly, I'm just looking forward to playing.

Alright so we are still on for tonight, sounds good… I will see you all then.... (Things to do... 1. invade the Sioux.)
Oz, I would be happy to join your DC meet thing, I arrive on the 9th of Jan. Even if the entire D.C. Meet doesn’t work out we can go out and grab a beer or something sometime considering we will be at the same school and all.

Well raz, perhaps we'll start another game some time, but Pro and I just went ahead and played this game by ourselves with the monks going to ai.
After taking the last week off, and then not hearing from you in time this week, we just played. We didn't think it would be that big of deal to you, so we just went on with it.
anyway.....pro, do you have a good time this week to put in a few hours? Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings 7est on are good for me. Let me know asap.

Yes, we're having a good time raz thanks. The civs are progressing nicely. Pro stopped building cities at 30, and is currently way ahead in just about every stat. His population is close to 50 mil and steadily growing. My city base is close to being finished, but not quite complete. I have 91 cities and about 20 million citizens. Growing very quickly. I'm hoping that eventually I can run with pro on population, but its certainly a long shot. Chris picked up your civ last night, (even though the AI put them way behind the session before) and has done a good job expanding the yellow civ. The year is later 1500's.
Will resume next tuesday evening.

Hi, my name is Spartan from the Civfanatics and Gameleague ladder. I'm very much interested in these games where there is less emphasis on war and more emphasis on civ building and diplomacy (though nothing beats the good ol' duel when the mood is right!). Please contact me in your scheduling of future games such as these, for I would love to participate in them.

PS: And to answer a question I've been asked many times, no I don't live in a farm, and no, I don't intend to be a farmer in my career, farmboy is just a nick my gf gave me, a reference to that movie Princess Bride. thank you.

Ok crew, we need to really come up with an end game scenario. We should choose a year to end the game on or come up with a way to determine a winner.
I suggest 1900 as a possible end date. That will allow us all plenty more time to refine our civs. Going to the games set limit of 2020 would just be too long and laborous, and I don't think any of us are up for that (correct me if I'm wrong).
If we chose to do space race, we might as well call the game due to pro's overwhelming tech lead, so I don't think that is a good option. Obviousy conquest is out. Guess we'll just have to use our imaginations.
Anyway, I'll see you guys at around 7 est. Hope the papers going alright pro

Down time
With the holidays coming up it looks like the games gonna take a few weeks off. We'll resume sometime in early to mid january.
Pro is maintaining his dominance in almost all categories. His empire has grown to a staggering 70 million citizens and still climbing. He has finished the tech tree and is working on future advances. My sioux civ is rising quickly as well, but still well behind at 33 million. I have been on major trading blitzes and making ridiculous amounts of money. It's quite an accomplishment imo, that my backward fundies have gotten the national science rate down to 1 discovery every 3 turns. Should finish out the tree in not too long of a time period. "Plan A" to catch up with the romans in population is obviously not going to work. "Plan B" will be implemented next session asap.
Chris's civ Alefgard is making strides, but still way behind due to AI session. They are currently at 7 million and growing.
The world we are making is quite a site to see. A civ builders paradise. The year is late 1600's if I recall correctly and we have decided to end the game at 1900. That means theres approximately 70-80 turns or so. The world will be quite a spectacle at 1900 I'm guessing.
If I have time tonight, I shall post a few screen shots of our respective civs.

This is what the current map looks like, and let me correct myself, it is not late 1600s it is 1705 (not that anyone cares!)
