Fireworks
I noticed exposions and puffs of smoke coming from one of my cities. I paincked! I thought, geeze, it's only 100 AD and i've already got pollution or something! It took me a while to figure out that the explosions were fireworks for We Love the King Day.

The funny part is that you don't need gunpowder to have those fireworks to go off.
