Removing items from the build queue

I did a search for this but couldn't find an answer. How do I delete items from the build queue? I searched the manual a couple of times and tried every combination of click and and that I could think of. Does anyone know how to do this?

once they are in the queue, if you click on items in the queue
you can highlight them. From there, you can press delete
to remove them (the others move up the list) or you could
also at that point hold down shift, click on something, and
it would *replace* the one you had highlighted.

Of course! The most obvious button to press is the key. I just assumed the game would have some key built in to do this.
