I think modern great wonders are really weak

It seems like the design team just sort of lost its steam twards the end of the game. From what I have seen the great wonders in the modern age are really uninteresting and not even worth building.

Same can be said about the military units of the modern age. Well of course they are worth building but they are not that interesting and not very varied.
