Emperor: 2nd citizen unhappy, why?
I just started a game at Emperor level. Why the 2nd citizen in my capital unhappy? I thought you get 2 content citizen, as in Civ 2.

Nope. In civ 3, the second citizen on emperor is unhappy.

Here's how many content citizens you'll get per city, depending on the difficulty level :
Chieftan : 4
Warlord : 3
Regent : 2
Monarch : 2
Emperor : 1
Deity : 1

 Hmmmm ... do you happen to know how many content citizens the AI gets at the various difficulty levels?

Unfortunately, i don't.
But i don't think one should bother to know. Beat the crap outta those AI ! That's all they deserve !
One content AI citizen is one too many

Harder to expand, yes ... which is funny 'cuz the AI loves to expand in Civ 3 when compared to Civ 2 ...
