Sub Bug?
Forgive me, I wasn't sure if I read this b4, but what's the deal with accidentally starting wars with other powers by simply running over their subs? Does anyone know if they intend to fix this in the patch?

AFAIK, you always get prompted by your military advisor to confirm the declaration of war.
anyway, this thread should be in the civ3/help forum

You are so anti-america that having a conversation with you would be poinless. You may or maynot feel you are an enemy of the United States, I don't care either way. However if I still worked for the Goverment I would turn over your e-mail address to my bosses and what ever happen, happens.

I wonder if you are telling everyone else with a question to put it in the help forum. Since 40-50% of all stuff in general are questions, one of is really wrong about posting here.
Anyway, thanks for your help but that isn't true. I accidentally ran over subs of two different nations i was ALLIED with and automatically wound up at war with both of them.

well, if you put it like that i cannot tell venger to go to the help forum, he does not ask questions, he just whines.
if what you explained really happened, then it's a bug. one more reason to report it in the help forum.
and yes, please try to post less than 5 threads/day

I haven't experienced this myself, but i seem to remember reading in another thread that you get the warning if you move with the cursor keys, but not if it's with a goto. Not sure if it was moving a naval unit onto a sub or vice versa, or even both.

I had the same problem a couple of times before, it happens only when you use the g(GoTo) command instead of using the cursors. I'd recommend not using the GoTo command or escorting your transports and carriers with ships that can see submarines.

1. This is why search does not always work. My question/concern was simple enough and we have about 5 out of 9 emails talking about whether I even have the rigth to post this here
2. Thanks for the advice with the arrow keys. That does make the game much more playable without having to worry about random wars for no reason!
