Didn't firaxis say...
...the city govenuer learned from what the player did, I mean it learned what I prefer to have built after having built certain things? It can be me who remember wrong, but I think I have heard some from Firaxis talk about this!
Cux it is really annoying it keeps building privateers or special units whenever I have just built something. In my case it's right after I have finnished an infantry. In my oppinion this is the only thing that really annoys me in the game.
Can we get a word from the Firaxis people that this issue has been sovled in the update?

Excellent point, Yin. The game just didn't live up to it's standards and failed to deliver what 'they' promised.
On another note, sometimes the governers amazingly do change to what you want to build, but sometimes they don't. Have you tried holding SHIFT and queing up items?

I have, but that kinda spoils the game I think, but if they don't have fixed this problem in the patch I think I have to use that otherwise I will end up nuts

Well, I can just agree now.
Have a look on the "german translation" issue:
"This game is the Eden of customisation and mods!
But if you DARE mod it, YOU WILL BE SENT AWAY BY FLAMING SWORDS"
Be ready for a sequence of expansion packs and a barrage of "gaming sites 5 stars" reviews and "Firaxis & Infogrames love the players" adverts.

ADG,
Yes, the governors learn, but not instantly. They have to see a trend, and it may vary from city to city. It does work, though (with time).

I wish I could turn the Governor's "learning" off... because it doesn't learn correctly. Example, I have some cities which can produce Infantry in 3 turns & Cavalry in 2 turns... other cities produce both Infantry & Cavalry in 2 turns. So I set the right cities to produce Infantry in 2 turns & the others Cavalry... only to find out later the Governors mix these up & change these around. If it just left the unit I was building before...
Some people must have a lot of patience & tolerance to still be using governors... especially with all their other flaws. But at least we're not forced to use governors... poor AI.

Yes, it makes me think that I'm playing some ctp game again instead of being a ruler of the world.
