Patch Update v1.16f
Another quick update.

Things are on target for a Friday QA sign-off, but let's say Saturday just to be safe. If nothing resets it by Wednesday, we'll release the readme.txt additions for you to digest. I think you'll be pleased.

Thanks for the Update, Jeff!! I, for one, am really looking forward to wednesday (to find out what's in the patch) and to saturday (to get it) -- assuming all goes well on your end, of course.

Thanks for letting us know that there still life at Faraxis .

So, the readme.txt hopefully out on Wednesday... Wednesday in which country? (I just want it as soon as I can get it!) Do I have to wait until NZ's Thursday? You lucky northern hemispherites - a full less day to wait.

I'm glad to hear that the patch will be coming out soon (barring any problems), but I'm kind of dissapointed; I thought this thread was to show that the patch is out right now. Am I the only one who thought this?

some basic questions
some vital questions in case you already know:

do we have to reinstall the game and then apply the patch?
do we have to start a new game or can we continue the saved ones?

i can't wait to start a new game with 16civs ,huge map and everything(!) working perfectly (no bugs!!).

on saturday the addiction resumes..........

In the previous Patch thread, one of the Faraxians (sorry, can't remember who ) said that old mods and save games should work with the patch.

3/130 I've got my money on a draw or a NZ win 'bout time we got beaten. It'd be great if they could do what your lads did in the first test.

Not on a 5th day Perth wicket that's cracking up, more likely we'll see some patient cricket like Steve's. Or maybe yet more rain like the first two tests, there's thunderstorms floating around Perth that may wander over to watch the cricket late in the day....

Obligatory patch comments:
I've noticed that the patch that's mentioned is 1.16f, but last week 1.14f was the patch being tested. I hope this isn't too much of an omen. But it was said that we'll be pleased ... I think that means:

* Air superiority is fixed
* Speed issue between turns is lessened
* Various other common and annoying bugs have been removed, cooked into a bug stew and served to Infogrames' senior management for lunch with a side order of salad

Joy, joy, joy.
I've decided I like the game and this will make it even better.
The major drawback of Civ III is that I still haven't gotten round to paying the rent. Oh well, DIE you mangy aztecs B*****S! Fear the mighty Indian elephant turned cavalry!
