if a story of yours participate in a weekly contest, it will show up in the Stories section

the title that appears is taken from the title that you have on your post. so if you want to change how your story appears on that page, simply edit the title of your post. the page will be updated automatically

for example, it would be good if Zorkk and Velociryx edited out the "story:" part of their titles...

I tried to do that, but it does not appear to have worked...

I wanted to change the title of my post "Be Honest" to "The Plains of Tyre". I edited the story, and changed the heading. It still says Be Honest on the forums page, but in the post it displays the correct name. Will this be reflected on your 'stories' page?

yes. the page reads the title of the post, not of the thread
