Good Scenarios to Renovate
What are some good candidates for renovation? I'm thinking of perhaps doing ww2mb next, but my knowledge of great scenarios with lousy/outdated graphics is limited.

There's a great World War 2 Pacific scenario that starts in 1937, but that is just an ordinary scenario - not a modpack.
It was made quite a while ago. Have any of you seen it? Do any of you know who made it? It's attached.

Maybe, some of the scenarios that came with FW and CiC should be updated?

I think thats what Case seemed to be doing. I just wonder if its technically legal with all the civ3 lawsuits flying around lately ...
Probably wouldn't matter with them being several years old now ...
I was thinking about doing something similar only concentrating on "alternizing" (or Turtledoving ) the scenario's rather than updating the graphics.

I wasn't planning on renovating the microprose scenarios in any kind of systematic way. As for lawsuits, unless I start selling the mods ( ) I don't think that whatever company which owns the rights would give a stuff (hell, I suspect I could sell them and they still wouldn't care)

Any of Harlan Thompson's WWII scenarios should be graphically updated at least.

Some time I started converting the FW Jules-Verne-scenario to ToT to take use of the extended macro language and CSPL as well... It's just the fear of making a scen no one will play with Civ3 out now which prevented me from completing it.

Dare i suggest most of Hartels scenarios, but especially Darius?
Hartel is a devoted student of history, his scenarios are truly excellent, they are better than a textbook on Persian history as far as i am concerned. BUT - they are making me blind!!! For some reason the terrain images show up as really messed up on my computer - which happens on no other scenarios ive tried. Revealed squares show up as black, almost black, or as wrong terrain type. clicking on them sometimes helps, sometimes not. I can say its a tribute to Hartel that ive kept playing them anyway so good are they, but id be delighted if someone could solve the terrain graphics problems.

I'm currently redoing John Petroski's New Germany, by adding Nemoesque graphics, redoing the tech tree slightly, removing useless units and adding some useful ones, and making it more of a Zweiter Weltkrieg "you control the war, not the other way around" kind of scenario, so that there are very few historical events in it; the history is written by your actions.

Thanks for the flowers,- such encouragement is necessary, as I'm working on a 20-page project on Alexander the Great for school.

I'm well aware of that problem. I've experienced it in several other scenarios, though I can't really say which ones. If I find out, I'll see what combines both. As soon as I find out, I promise, I'll do my best to fix that.
I'm glad you enjoyed my scenarios!

If you mess with (something that stores the color data in the file, forgot what its called ) then that is the result. This happened to me when converting Win scenarios to my Mac. Generally, going from .bmp or .gif to .pict is fine, but anything else could cause problems.
Or the file may be corrupted.

I did a units and city pack for his WWII scenario using mostly Nemo units, and a few others.

Hey, Chris, that looks good. One thing though, the shield on the ME 262 (the jet, I thinks that's the right name) is a bit to far to the right.
Maybe you already noticed that but, well, I'm a nitpicker.

Err, I mean my current scenario starts as historical but follows a road not taken.
But I am interested in a GW scenario. Could you let me know where I can download it?
