I'm sitting there, carefully grooming my empire, amassing my armies and planning how best to grab a couple of juicy cities from my neighbor without a single casualty. However, I'm getting a bit tired of thinking so darn much, and I find myself missing the good ol' Civ2 "Make a bunch of tanks and run over a continent" mini-game, which was always a favorite.
So I save my game, exit out, load up the editor, and make it so that the "Scout" unit expansionist civs start with is a modern tank. Save the .bic file, load it up as a new game in Civ3 and, wee! A little tiny version of my favorite Civ2 mini-game!
I must admit, I had a lot of fun running roughshod over the other civs with my magical tank from the future. Had a little storyline going in my head, a sci-fi story that could only end in tragedy. Yup, after decimating three civs and most of a fourth, my hearty tanklords finally met their makers, dying at the hands of some spearmen. I chuckled a bit, exited the game, put the .bic file back to normal and got back to my game, feeling refreshed.
And that's really all I had to say. Games are neat. Hope you're having fun with your game, however you define fun.
