Re: Interception problems
It SHOULD be simply this: When a unit of yours is attacked by an enemy air unit, and you have an air unit with SAM capability (including Locusts of Chiron) in a base or airbase within 2 squares of your defending unit. The SAM unit moves to the same square as your defending unit and becomes the defender instead, applying its attack value against the attacker's attack value. No Air-to-Air or Sensor bonus applies for either unit.
I think SAM air units on Hold won't scramble; they have to be on Load/Sentry or No Orders.

Interceptors on hold will scramble. Even if they are 90% damaged. Even if they have no hope of winning the battle. Even if intercepting will cause the game to crash. If you suffer from the interceptor crash bug you will know this all too well. Sigh.

RedFred, I have been generally (but I think not completely) been spared the curse of the interceptor bug, but I have heard that (in addition to the wheelmouse driver) some antivirus programs cause the bug as well (specifically some version(s) of McAfee).
